Two men in ski masks held up a central Gilroy market at gunpoint and ran off with liquor and money, police said.
The men entered La Flor de Jalisco market on Lewis Street near Railroad Street at 7:59 p.m. Wednesday, according to a Gilroy Police Department press release. The men pulled out handguns, then demanded money from the clerk.
The men took an undisclosed amount of money and some liquor, then ran southbound down an alley next to the store.
One of the men was described as a Hispanic in his early twenties, about 5 feet, 8 inches. The other man, whose race was not known, was described as being in his early twenties, about 5 feet, 4 inches. Both men wore a black ski mask and black clothing, and each carried a black, unknown caliber, semi-automatic handgun.
