Volunteer Opportunities, Foster Homes Needed
PETCO-GILROY AND PETSMART-MILPITAS ADOPTION CENTERS - Our two permanent adoption centers are temporary homes for our little waifs as they await their forever homes. We need to staff each with reliable and dedicated volunteers so we know the kitties are well taken care of every day, so we hope you will decide to volunteer there caring for our kitties. If you can donate a few hours a week, we'd love to have your help. Please contact Linda Cunningham at [email protected] if you'd like to help at Petco-Gilroy, or Paula Myers at [email protected] you'd like to help at PetsMart-Milpitas. It's the best and happiest volunteer job you'll ever have, and is one way to love kitties without the full responsibility of actual pet ownership, help kitties without adding to your own household kitty headcount, or fill your kitty void from having an allergic family member! Â
Red Phone: More photo contests needed
"Why doesn't the Dispatch run more photo contests in the paper or online? I'm sure there are many Gilroyans that would love to submit photos of their pets, nature pics, babies, kids, etc. Is this something the Dispatch can give some thought to? I think it would be fun for a lot of people. Thanks."
GETTING OUT: New Year’s hike a success
Past New Year’s morning hikes have drawn about 30 hikers. Imagine my surprise and delight when the Mendoza Ranch at Harvey Bear Ranch parking lot filled to the brim and all of you stepped out to walk the Mummy Mountain Trail.
