SVRC Social at Pearl Izumi
Last evening (9/13/12) South Valley Running Club held there monthly social at Pearl Izumi in the Gilroy Outlets. Even though 75% of their business is cycling related they do have quite a bit of gear for runners as well. Ryan Reed the store manager gave a quite impressive talk on running shoes, the man does know his shoes!

Hey, did you make it to Bark in the Park last year? If not, you missed an incredible amount of fun. I was there along with more than 15,000 other humans and at least 3,700 dogs. We had a Great Dane of a time. (Sorry, I just couldn't resist that one.)
Some non-political political thoughts before Election Day
Recently one of my Facebook friends, Irene, a woman I graduated with from high school, posted her frustration that one of her friends continually attempts to change Irene’s mind about her political leanings. Troubled by these ongoing efforts, Irene wisely remarked she’d rather concentrate on the reasons she and her friend like one another – rather than focusing on issues where they don’t always agree.
