Christopher’s magic comeback season continues with a trip to CCS title game
Christopher’s 34-7 win over Alisal Saturday meant a little more than just revenge. And perhaps it meant a little bit more than just a berth into the Central Coast Section Division IV championship game.

Docents ready to hike Sierra Vista Open Space Preserve
Upper Penitencia Creek slashes a deep gorge in the Diablo Range near the northeast corner of San Jose. The lower portion of the gorge comprises Alum Rock Park with trails and picnic grounds close to the creek. Garlic and friendship: A perfect combination
You’ll find me at the Garlic Festival almost every year. If I’m not meandering around with friends, I at least take a quick break from work Friday to swing by and grab a peppersteak sandwich and some garlic bread.
Scientific literacy made the American Revolution
As you and your friends and family get set for the Independence Day celebrations here in the South Valley, I hope you’ll take a moment to think about the great American experiment we are a part of today. The word “experiment” to describe our republic is a fitting one. Many of the leaders who founded our nation were scientifically astute and understood the principles of carrying out tests to prove or disprove revolutionary ideas – including political ideas.
