Last Sunday, when a big birthday celebration for Leona Kolbly's life brought many people together from all walks of life in Gilroy, it was obvious that Leona's life continued to touch everyone she came into contact with no matter what her age (or theirs).

My dog Joey, named after Joe Montana of course, is my constant companion and fellow 49er fan. He always listens to me if I have complaints about how the team is doing and celebrates with me when they are doing well. He has his very own 49er jersey and wears it proudly on game days. Joey was found wandering alone in rural Hollister about a year and a half ago. Even though we don’t know his true heritage, he is most likely a Maltese mix.
