A melodious evening at the Milias
The Milias Restaurant was the place to be last Friday night in Gilroy. Talented vocalist Sandra Marlowe was a draw for many to come out for an evening of good food and even better music. For the past year, Marlowe has been promoting and performing songs from her new CD, “True Blue,” which includes tracks such as “Honeysuckle Rose” and “Black Coffee.” She has been singing at venues from Berkeley to Santa Cruz and was a featured artist in the San Jose Jazz Festival at the Fairmont Hotel.
The joy of community wine strolls
Although I wasn’t able to make it out to the recent wine strolls held in Hollister and Morgan Hill, I did take advantage of the incredible weather last weekend to enjoy Gilroy’s Art and Wine Stroll.

Here are the lovely single ladies who haven't settled for anyone less than Prince Charming. As with the bachelors, it seems that Gilroy is brimming with singles, while Hollister's and Morgan Hill's singles have run dry – we couldn't get a single bachelorette anywhere outside of Gilroy.
