Gilroy – Valerie Smith Intero defeated the Titans 49-36 Wednesday to remain unbeaten in Men’s DD League adult basketball action at Solorsano Gymnasium.

Marcus Barbosa popped in 10 points as Intero moved to 2-0 atop the four-team DD circuit. Mark Azzarello struck for eight points in the second half as Intero expanded a 21-16 intermission edge.

Mike Little scored 11 points and James Hernandez used two three-point field goals to add 10 points to the Titans offense.

George Chiala Farms Inc. moved to 2-0 by topping Handmade Healthcare 52-41.

Cliff Donnettt anchored the Chiala Farms attack with 23 points. The power forward managed 10 points in the first half as the Farmers grabbed a 23-21 advantage.

Brandon Greene aided the Chiala Farms cause with 15 points. Brit Bigelow hustled to 16 points for Handmade Healthcare.

Men’s D

Morgan Hill Garage Door improved to 2-0 in Men’s D League play Tuesday at Solorsano Gym by downing Headstart Nursery 58-30.

Rick Hattaway nailed six 3-pointers to lead the Garage Doors with 22 points. Sig Reynisson dashed to 17 points from his point-guard slot. Jacob Garcia worked inside for 12 points. Morgan Hill Garage Door built a 28-19 halftime edge.

Bob Lemmon dropped in six 3-pointers and paced the 1-1 Headstart offense with 20 points. Greg Bozzo and A. J. Matthews each garnered eight Headstart points.

The Money Makers also hit 2-0 for the first half of D play by turning back the Tri City Warriors 66-39.

William Shaw paced the Money Maker scoring with 19 points. Steven Huerta hit three 3-pointers and finished with 15 points. Joseph Abundiz delivered 11 Maker points.

Gilbert Ermitano led the Warriors with nine points.

Pizza N’ Stuff, the defending league champion, moved to 1-1 with a 52-49 edging of Anritsu.

Mark Cisneros carried the Pizza N’ Stuff attack with 30 points, including five 3-pointers in the second half. Miguel Gillard followed with 12 points for the Pizzamen. Adam Supnet scored 13 points, Chris Bowles 10 and Jason Supnet eight for Anritsu.
