For the second time this season, the Christopher High boys volleyball team swept through Palma, beating the Chieftains 25-22, 25-21 and 25-11 on Thursday night in Salinas.
Justin Laveroni and John Day each converted 11 kills apiece, and Emmanuel Salceda had 33 assists and six kills in what head coach Karie Gonzales described as a match of “defense versus defense.”
“We applied communication, team coverage and team praise,” she said.
The Cougars sit in third place in the Tri-County Athletic League Valley Division with fout matches remaining.
The Cougars host Branham High (San Jose) in a non-league match tonight at 5:30 p.m.
