The Gavilan College women’s volleyball team made it six straight Coast Conference South victories Wednesday night, cruising past West Valley 25-22, 25-16, 25-16 in Gilroy.

The Rams, whose last lost in conference was Sept. 28, are 16-8 overall, 7-1 conference and closing in on their first South title since the 2009 season.

Kayce Skocko recorded an offensive/defensive double-double with 17 kills and 17 digs. Tazi Apple added nine kills and Sabina Gerard had another double-double with 36 assists and 11 digs.

Kayondra Hood and Gilroy High’s Karina Daniels added 22 and 14 digs, respectively. Gavilan plays its final regular season home game Friday against Skyline College and then finishes the regular season at Chabot College next Tuesday. Both matches are slated for 6:30 p.m. first serves.

The first round of the Northern California Regional playoffs are set for Nov. 20.
