The Gavilan College women’s volleyball team continued its solid start to Coast Conference play, sweeping host Chabot College (25-13, 25-19, 25-23) on Wednesday night.

The victory, the Rams fourth straight and third consecutive in three sets, pushed them to 10-6 overall and 3-0 in conference. It also sets up Friday night’s showdown with Cabrillo, which is also undefeated in league, in Gilroy.

The Seahawks are the defending conference champions. the Rams and Cabrillo shared the title in 2009.

In Wednesday’s match, Emily Tonascia posted a team-high 10 kills. Kayce Skocko had eight kills while Avry Walker had seven. Melissa Avila and Alyssa Brusaschetti combined for 25 assists.

Friday’s match is slated for a 6:30 p.m. start.
