He was born in Lompoc on May 22, 1942.

He drove truck for Valley Transportation in Fresno.

He is survived by his wife Sami; sons Bill and wife Vicky, Hal Ray and wife Christine, and Bronc and wife Lanette; daughter Carrie and husband Ron Pohndors; and eleven grandchildren. He is also survived by sisters Betty Henderson of Tracy and Judy Perry of Gilroy; brother Bob Howard of Gilroy; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by her parents William and Betty Howard McLaughlin and sister Eleanor Smith; grandson Willy McLaughlin; and stepfather Robert Howard Sr.

Memorial services will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. in Fresno at the Celebration Christian Church.
