completing 13 weeks of training at MCRD, San Diego.
Marine Pvt. Tristan M. Wood has earned the title ‘Marine’ after completing 13 weeks of training at MCRD, San Diego.

Wood, a 2001 graduate of Los Banos High School, is the son of David and Luci Wood of Los Banos and grandson of Vincent and Lucy Bravo of Gilroy.

His accomplishments include close order drill, physical training, academics, combat water survival, close combat skills and marksmanship. He also completed the “Crucible,” a 54-hour evaluation of his physical, mental and moral fitness as an individual and a member of a team.

Wood has completed 22 days of combat/weapons training from Camp Pendleton, and currently he is stationed at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo.
