The Christopher High wrestling team will take four No. 1-seeds  into the Monterey Bay League championships Saturday in Seaside.
The Cougars, who are ranked No. 7 in the Central Coast Section, are the MBL’s regular season champ, going 6-0 in dual meets. However, if CHS does not win Saturday’s tournament, they will share the title with the victor.
CHS will have a full lineup in the field, including No. 1-seeds Jimmie Lopez (106), Raul Meza (114), Ricardo Bribiescas (132) and John Riffle (220.) Andras Kabai (138), Jacob Graffigna (152), Josh Aguilera (195) and Steven White (285) drew No. 2-seeds.
The top-two finishers receive berths into the CCS meet.
Wrestling at Seaside on Saturday begins at 10 a.m.
n The section’s No.1-ranked GHS wrestling team heads to Palma for the Tri-County Athletic League meet Saturday. Competition starts at 10 a.m.
The Mustangs went 6-0 in league duals and enter the fray with three straight tournament championships – Bert Mar, Mid Cals and Overfelt.
The nine-time defending CCS titleholders have seven No. 1-seeds for Saturday’s TCAL test: Jesse Vasquez (106), Victor Daza (114), Victor Olmos (120), Paul Fox (126), Nikko Villarreal (138), Aaron Gonzalez (140) and Willie Fox (145.)
