Gilroy – A 15-year-old was sexually assaulted Wednesday morning at Christmas Hill Park, according to police.
The teen told police she was approached by four men while walking on the levy at 9am Wednesday near the park.
The victim left with one man, who sexually assaulted the teen near the park amphitheater, police said. The teen reported the rape to Gilroy police about 3:30pm Wednesday afternoon.
The suspect is described as a 19- to 25-year-old Hispanic man with brown hair, brown eyes, 5-feet, 7-inches tall and weighing 140 pounds, with no facial hair. The victim said he wore a black T-shirt with white lettering, blue jeans and a red baseball hat, and rode an older dark-colored 10-speed or mountain bike. All four men are described as unkempt.
The assault is the second such incident reported in Christmas Hill Park this month, after a 14-year-old boy reported being assaulted by a man who offered him a ride to the library, then drove him to the park instead.
