Finally, the World Health Organization has published information about cell phones (Mark Lyons letter of Sept. 21). They are safer than your television or FM receiver. Not a scrap of scientific evidence ever showed that they were not.
Please note Mr. Chris Cote – find another crusade. It’s no longer necessary to panic susceptible mothers of small children about the dangers of cell towers. Many of you will remember the flag pole/cell phone tower fiasco at Luigi Aprea School some years back. Because of that hullabaloo, the city council hurriedly passed strict cell tower installation regulations and school district lost about $900 a year in rental income.
So now, how about revisiting those rules and relaxing those provisions? Maybe we can all have decent cell phone service in ALL areas of Gilroy!
