Hershell F. Cloud died on Sunday, Dec. 14, 2003, at the age of
75 at his home in Hollister.
Hershell F. Cloud died on Sunday, Dec. 14, 2003, at the age of 75 at his home in Hollister.
He was born in Texas and lived in Hollister for the last 20 years. He came to Hollister from Gilroy and served in the U.S. Army during Korea and Vietnam.
Cloud was preceded in death by his wife Maxine Cloud, who died in 2002. Also preceded in death were eight of his siblings.
He is survived by his son James and his wife Patty Cloud, of Hollister, his brother and sister Kenneth Cloud and Janelle Cloud, both of Albuquerque, N.M., his grandchildren Joel Cloud, Isaac Cloud, Mark Cloud, Inezz Cloud, all of Hollister, and his great-grandchild Madison Cloud, of Los Banos.
Friends may pay their respects on Sunday from 1 to 8 p.m. at Black Cooper Sander Funeral Home, 363 Seventh St., Hollister.
Funeral services will be held on Monday at 10 a.m., at the funeral home chapel. Reverend John Amelio of Glad Tidings Church will officiate.
Internment and military rites will follow the funeral at San Juan Cemetery with military rites being offered by VFW Post 9242 of Hollister.
