Raul Gracia unloaded a triple and four singles to spark the 3-0 Red Dogz offense. Emilio Vargas and Joel Torres each lined a two-run homer in a 10-run second inning that produced an 11-5 lead. Carlos Naranjo went 4-for-5 for the winners. Kevin Orosco hit two home runs, Jesse Badillo one for the 2-1 Pipelayers.
Willie Gamboa Jr. homered in a 3-for-3 night and Mike Lucio added a single, double and triple to pace 1-2 Interstate Fence past Dee’s Nuts 22-3. Rick Gonzales tripled and scored one Dee’s Nut run.
John Ashford went 4-for-4, Shawn Tinsley 4-for-5 to ignite a 20-8 AAA Courier Poor Boys nod over Humboldt Brewing. Ben Roybal went 3-for-3 and Dave Plaza scored three runs for Humboldt.
Johnny Salgado went 4-for-4 to lead Lopez Vending Machines to an 11-8 victory over the Playaz and into first place at 2-0 in the Men’s BB League Friday at Christmas Hill Park.
Brad Medina scored three Vending markers. Daniel DeLeon went 3-for-4 for the Playaz.
The Gilroy Clippers took a forfeit win over Little Pizzarena.
Mark Merz and John Serrine each went 5-for-5 as Me & Julio moved to 2-0 in the Men’s DD League with a 20-5 decision over Blackout Window Tinting Friday at Gavilan Sports Park. Roy Escudero and Ruben Guerrero each went 3-for-3 for Blackout.
Joey Barnes homered in a 3-for-3 performance as 3-0 Puzzle Systems topped Machinist Cooperative 19-4. Gosta Brolin went 2-for-2 for Machinist Cooperative.
Mike Kachel homered and Gil Ramirez provided a single and double as Team HJ-FX defeated Family Affaqir 18-5. Rich Altamirano went 3-for-3 and Louie Martinez homered for Family Affair.
J. R. Brewski’s maintained a one-game lead in the Men’s E League pennant scramble Thursday with a 20-5 victory over the Good Ole Boys at Gavilan.
John Weberg clubbed two three-run homers, Garrett Bennett provided three doubles, Willie Weihman went 4-for-4 and Walter Margetich scored four runs for the Brew Crew. Todd Whitmire homered for the Boys.
Joe Barboa homered and Gary Barboa scored four times in a 16-15 Ozzie’s Oddballs win over the Slammers. Frank Duran’s three-run triple in the bottom of the seventh inning produced the game-winning runs. David Espinoza smacked two two-run homers for the Slammers.
St. Mary Men’s Club joined idle Pray For Rain at 4-1 with an 11-7 verdict over the Titans. Chris Alonzo stroked a home run, triple and two singles for the Men’s Club. Ted Pickeral went 4-for-4 and David Hill and Ryan Romero hit Titan homers.
K. C. Adams homered and scored five runs to lead unbeaten Solid Ground by Associated Concrete 37-8 Thursday in Men’s EE action at Las Animas. Tim Blank went 3-for-3 and scored twice for Associated Concrete.
Kennt Beard went 5-for-5 and Bill Morris homered to highlight a 27-11 Radiator Doctor decision over South Valley Newspapers. Dave Steffenson launched two home runs, Dave Del Villar and Joel Guerrero one apiece for the Newsmen.
HMI outlasted VFW Bingo 21-20 to leave HMI in second place at 4-1. Spencer Straub drilled two doubles anda single for the winners. John Campos went 3-for-3 for VFW Bingo.
