Dear Editor:
On behalf of the Gilroy High School Choirs, I would like to thank the local businesses who so generously and graciously donated food and supplies for our annual Spaghetti Feed Fundraiser, which was held on Wednesday, Feb. 5.
I would like to acknowledge and publically thank: Christopher Ranch, Fresh Express, Gilroy Grocery Outlet, Golden Grain, Kachy’s, PW Market, Raley’s Nob Hill Foods, Rite-Aid, Safeway, and Walmart. It is through the support of these local businesses that we were able to meet our financial goals for this event; the proceeds will enable the Gilroy High School Choirs to perform at the American Choral Directors Association Festival in San Luis Obispo.
Many thanks also to the parents and choir members who worked hard to put this event together. One of the great things about Gilroy that has always impressed me and makes me proud to be part of this terrific community is the willingness of people to help one another and volunteer their time, sweat, and talent. When surrounded with great people, even washing the pots and pans becomes fun.
And last but not least, I wish to recognize and thank Master Spaghetti Chef Sam Bozzo and his team: Dave Bozzo, Judy Bozzo, Robert Cooper, Bob Kraemer, Bernice Marfia, John Marfia, Dave Perez, and Jim Rogers.
Tina Bundros, Gilroy
