GILROY – The Playaz slipped past the Titans 40-38 Thursday in the Men’s E League basketball second-half opener for both clubs at South Valley.

Robert Flores tossed in three three-point field goals in a 13-point effort for the Playaz. Arnold Tellez and Ron Reed countered with 10 markers apiece for the Titans. The Playaz built a 19-12 halftime lead.

Austin Romesberg scored 11 of his 15 points in the second half as Stuft Pizza cruised to a 40-24 decision over Mitchell Excavation. Charles Nguyen posted seven points in the first half to lead Stuft Pizza to a 21-14 intermission edge. Tim Fortino used two 3-pointers to garner points to pace Mitchell Excavation.

Alexis Rivas popped in 19 points as Pizza N Stuff-Toto Stingers trimmed Net Magic 57-51. Eduardo Gamboa threaded three 3-pointers in a 13-point showing for the winners. Tony Maquinalez anchored the Net Magic offense with 24 points, including five 3-pointers.

Rocha’s Drywall rallied past Goldsmith Seeds 42-33 as Bryce Hall contributed 14 points. Jim Singleton worked inside for 18 points for the Seeds.

Emilia Flores scored 14 points Wednesday as Krazy Koyote-Dutchman’s Pizza defeated Togo’s 45-32 in the Women’s League opener at South Valley. Monica Pantoja added 12 points, Lilia Flores 11 for the winners. Wendy Filice-Strametz came off the bench to pour in 16 points for Togo’s. Gretchen Yoder launched two 15-footers in the first half as Togo’s stayed in contention for the first half, trailing 21-16.

Rae-Anne Yip scored 13 points to pace Above The Rim to a 43-22 decision over Williams Dental Lab. Sabina Gutierrez led the Williams Dental scoring with eight points.

Mark Cisneros struck for 19 points Tuesday to lead Dutchman’s-Krazy Koyote past Headstart Nursery 51-47 in Men’s D play.

Edward Lujan and Jon-Michael Becerra each scored 10 points for the winners. Bill Christopher mustered 12 points, Bob Lemmon 10 for Headstart Nursery.

Sig Reynisson posted 13 points to lift Morgan Hill Garage Door to a 52-44 victory over Handmade Healthcare. Jacob Garcia scored 12 points and Kurt Gitmed netted 10 for the Doors. Britt Brigelow scored 11 points and Mike McAvoy hit for 10 for Handmade, the first-half E champion.

Nathan Sanders scored 21 points as Gaeta’s Taqueria defeated Fritter-Schulz Physical Therapy 76-65. Sonny Old Elk turned four 3-pointers into 16 points amd David Herrera followed with 15 for the Gaeta’s. Gabe Gonzales poured in 20 points, Justin Nicholson 18 for Fritter-Schulz.
