GILROY – Arnold Tellez hit a 10-foot jumper with three seconds to play to lift the Titans past Stuft Pizza 49-48 in Men’s E League basketball play Thursday at South Valley.

Tellez and Ron Reed combined for 39 points as the Titans snapped a two-game losing streak. Tellez garnered 17 of his game-high 23 points in the second half as the Titans rebounded from a 34-24 halftime deficit.

Reed notched 14 points in the first half and finished with 16. Al Gallegos scored 11 points and Charles Nguyen followed with 10 for Stuft Pizza.

Pizza N Stuff-Toto Stingers remained atop the eight-team league by topping Goldsmith Seeds 52-29. Andres Espinosa canned 11 points and Rudy Mirelez and Teo Ponce netted 10 apiece for the 3-0 Stingers. Jim Singleton worked inside for 13 points and Chris Vigilante scored 12 for the Seeds.

Tony Maquinalez turned six three-point field goals into an 18-point performance as Net Magic (2-1) defeated the Playaz 52-33. Jeremy Dirks scored 14 Magic points. Eddie DeLeon led the Playaz with 10 points.

Rocha’s Drywall is 3-0 after a 43-27 decision over Mitchell Excavation. Bryce Hall scored 12 points, Leo Silviera 10 for Rocha’s. Roger Hernandez managed 12 points for Mitchell Excavation.

Above The Rim is 3-0 in first place in the Women’s League for the second half after Wednesday’s 41-21 verdict over Togo’s. Rae-Anne Yip anchored the Rim offense with 19 points. Lena Tabron meshed two 3-pointers in an 11-point effort for Togo’s.

Williams Dental Lab moved into second at 2-1 with a 42-35 win over Krazy Koyote-Dutchman’s Pizza. Maxine Chavez struck for 12 points, Cherie Somavia 10 for the winners. Lilia Flores popped in 16 points, Emelia Flores 12 for Pizza.

Gaeta’s reached 3-0 in the Men’s D League when David Herrera’s basket at the buzzer in overtime earned a 61-60 victory over Headstart Nursery Tuesday. Sonny Old Elk paced the Taqueria with 21 points. Herrera finished with 15, Juan Rios 12 and Nathan Sanders 11. Don Hall poured in 24 points, Bob Lemmon 16 for Headstart.

Justin Nicholson scored 23 points to lead Fritter-Schulz Physical Therapy past Handmade Healthcare 62-53. Gabe Gonzales scored 13 Therapy points. Britt Bigelow topped Handmade with 17 points, followed by Marco Lopez with 15 and Nick Posey 11.

Jacob Garcia scored 13 points to pace Morgan Hill Garage Door past Dutchman Pizza-Krazy Koyote 46-36.
