The Lady Mustang soccer team could not hold onto a two-goal halftime lead Thursday – allowing four second-half strikes in a 4-2 road loss to Salinas.

“It was complete role reversal,” first-year head coach Adam Gemar said. “We dominated in the first half and just fell apart in the second half.”

Gilroy (1-0 in T-CAL) had a strong first half with goals from sophomore Alysha Davis – who touched in a Cydney Fong throw-in – and Jackie Arribere – who poked in a rebound off a shot from teammate Jackie Iwanaga.

The Lady Mustangs continue their league shedule with Monday’s road game in Hollister at 3:30 p.m.
