Steve W. Cleary, age 53, passed away in Gilroy, Monday, April 28, 2003.
He was the husband of Linda S. Cleary of Gilroy; son of Sarah L. Cleary of Mulberry, Fla. and the late Robert J. Cleary, Sr.; brother of Robert Cleary, Jr. of Escondido, Michael Cleary of Ontario and Timothy Cleary of Mary Esther, Fla.; and uncle of Kimberly, Shawn, Molly, Channing and Amanda.
Born and raised in Southern California, Steve received his bachelor of science degree from Cal Poly in 1976 and his master’s in agricultural management from University of California, Davis in 1978. Over the years, he was employed by Petoseed, Asgrow Seed, and Northrup King. After years as Senior Vice President for Sandoz Seed in Boise, Idaho, he founded Cleary and Associates, an agricultural consulting firm, and returned to Gilroy in 1997. Steve also was a Vietnam veteran, having served in the U.S. Army from 1968 to 1970.
A private family memorial service will take place at St. Mary Church on Thursday, with a celebration of Steve’s life taking place at the Cleary’s residence in Eagle Ridge. Arrangements by Habing Family Funeral Home
Steve will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor, and most of all for his love and devotion to family and friends.
