â–  Yes. At least you know the project will get done right. When you go with cheaper labor you get what you pay for.

â–  NO. Once again, Gilroy taxpayers have been shafted.

■ This is very difficult for me – not sure of the down side of not paying prevailing wage! Going to say NO – right now we need to cut back where ever we can. Personally, I am not in favor of unionized labor.

â–  Yes. In the long run, best to use union labor and provisions that

accommodate their construction standards.

â–  I am all for fair wages, but the union continues to take advantage of our community.

â–  Yes. Paying a union wage maintains a higher standard of living and better overall construction.

â–  No. But typical, union comes, Council runs!

â–  No. In this drastic economic downturn, the City Council has a fiduciary responsibility to the citizens to reduce capital expenditures wherever possible!
