Memorial services for Nellie Ilves Renegar Hart will be held at the First Presbyterian Church of Hollister; 2066 San Benito Street; Hollister, CA; at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, July 17, 2010. Immediately following the service, a public reception will be held in the church’s social hall.
In addition, a public musical remembrance service will be held at the Hollister United Methodist Church; 521 Monterey Street; Hollister; CA; at 7:00 P.M. on Friday, July 16, 2010. This service will include a medley of favorite hymns and songs.
Nellie Hart passed away on April 8, 2010, in Florida. She was 87 years old. She was a 57-year resident of Hollister, who had moved to West Palm Beach, FL in 2003 to live with her younger sister, Marjorie Renegar Cenower.
Private family burial services with military honors were held at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery on Friday, April 23, 2010, and were performed by Pastor David Rodriguez, former Senior Pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Hollister and a Navy chaplain (Commander, USNR). Pallbearers were Mike Cembellin, Jerry Glass, Grant Harlan, Pat Herbert, Dick Tibbetts, and Joe Zepeda. Military honors were provided by the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 9242, and the California Color Guard. The family would like to express their profound gratitude to all those who took part in the burial services.
