THIS WEEK’S WEB POLL:
Do you support President Obama’s health care reform legislation?

â– No. While I do support some of the good intentions, I do not support the inability of the governing leadership to articulate how they intend to pay for what amounts to the massive socialization of our country. More importantly, I do not support my government telling me they “know best”and will ignore the “people’s will” because the people couldn’t possibly understand what they want or need. The government exists to serve the will of The People – unless I missed something in grammar school.
â– Yes. Even if it is compromised or misunderstood, what is important is that something was actually passed in order to increase the availability of health care for more Americans.
â– In principle, yes. However, I am very disappointed that he did not make our economic recovery coupled with our withdrawal from Iraq and Afghanistan his top priorities!
â– Yes. Considering that the health insurance industry (and major league baseball) is exempt from anti-trust laws, maybe now health insurance rates will begin to normalize matching those of other industrial countries.
â– NO! I don’t believe small business can survive this!
â– I know a little bit about a whole lot, so best to take the “I don’t know option” and any heat that comes with it!
â– NO. Social Security is bankrupt, Medicare is bankrupt, Amtrak is bankrupt, and we’re suppose to think this government boondoggle will work?
â– Yes. It will save money in the long run by making people get insurance and not going to emergency. It will also regulate the insurance industry which is long overdue.
â– Yes. Democrats stood up for what’s right and passed long overdue health care reform. I wish Ted Kennedy would have lived long enough to see this happen.
