Viewing will be held at Grunnagle-Ament-Nelson Funeral Home on Monday, July 6th, 2015, from 1:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Friends will leave the funeral home at 10:30 A.M., on Tuesday for a Mass of the Resurrection at Sacred Heart Church at 11:00 A.M. Louie Falconi passed away peacefully, on Tuesday evening, at Mabie Southside.
During his life, Louie was a proud member of E. Clampus Vitas, Hollister’s Elk Lodge, American Legion, and Sacred Heart Church. Louie had many hobbies and there wasn’t anything he couldn’t do well. He loved hunting, ranching, cooking, and making many things in his wood shop.
Louie was born and raised in Hollister, CA. He was a rancher alongside his family, until he joined the Army in 1950. Louie achieved the office of Sergeant before being honorably discharged in 1952, and returning to Hollister.
After his service, Louie began working for the San Benito County Sheriff’s Office, where he worked his way up to Lieutenant before he retired in 1985.
Louie is preceded in death by his parents, Silvio Falconi, 1961, and Adele (Curotto) Falconi, 1980, his sister, Sylvia Falconi, 1975, and his brothers, Edward J. “Eddie” Falconi, 2009, and Richard D. Falconi, 2011.
Louie is survived by his sister-in-law, Marian Falconi, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins, ranging from the United States, to Italy, The Netherlands, and beyond. Louie is also survived by many, many dear friends.
