• Prune roses after Christmas. The first two weeks of January are a good time.
• Cool season vegetables can be planted now. Choose asparagus, artichokes and rhubarb.
• Delphinium and columbine can be planted now so they can establish their root system over the next couple of months.
• Feed the lawn this month to keep it green and healthy.
