Morgan Hill – A man apparently upset he couldn’t get any chicken fingers from a Marie Callender’s Restaurant & Bakery called in a bomb threat, forcing police to evacuate the restaurant for a short time.
According to Morgan Hill Police Lt. Joe Sampson, the restaurant was closed Sunday night when the 10:50pm call came in. The manager and several employees were still in the restaurant when the manager took a call from an unknown male. The man asked the manager if the restaurant had any chicken fingers. When the manager told him no, the caller became irate.
Then he told the manager that the restaurant in on Cochrane Road should be evacuated because he had put a bomb there.
Employees were evacuated. No bomb was found.
“At this point, we have no further information on the suspect. There were no reports of recent employee terminations or upset customers in our investigation.”
