GILROY – The Gilroy High School choirs will present their annual Spring Concert on Thursday, April 29 at Gilroy Presbyterian Church, 6000 Miller Ave.
The show will give the choirs the opportunity to share with Gilroy what they have taken thoughout the state and abroad.
The choirs all performed March 27 in San Luis Obispo at the American Choral Directors Central Coast Choral Festival.
Four of the five choirs received commendations for excellence by the adjudicators. The auditioned Women’s Chorus, Concerto Delle Donne, returned from their Southern California tour the first weekend of April with top honors in both festivals they participated in.
Their highest honor was receiving both the “Adjudicators Award” and “Outstanding Choral Group” at the Heritage Festival in Anaheim.
The Chamber Singers just returned April 18 from their tour of Germany and the Czech Republic. All six performances were received by the German and Czech audiences with enthusiasm and requests for encores.
Doors open for seating at 7:10 p.m. with the concert beginning at 7:30 p.m.
