Jeannette Silva died Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2004, at Gilroy Healthcare. She was 88.
Mrs. Silva was born in Gilroy in 1916 and lived in Gilroy her entire life.
She was a school bus driver for the Gilroy Unified School District from 1962 to 1972.
She is survived by her daughter, Margaret Badgley of Reno, Nev.; granddaughter, Beckie Rivera of San Jose; three great-granddaughters, Krystle, Kimberly and Kristy Rivera of San Jose; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Frank Silva Jr., and by a brother and two sisters.
A vigil will be held at 7pm Friday, Sept. 24, 2004, at Habing Family Funeral Home, 129 Fourth St., Gilroy.
Funeral services will begin at 9:30am, Saturday, Sept. 25, 2004, at the funeral home, then proceed to St. Mary’s Church, 11 First Street, in Our Lady’s Chapel, Gilroy for Mass at 10am.
Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Gilroy.
