GIlroy's Josiah Wiley goes up for a shot during their game Thursday against Anzar in the first round of the 34th Annual Bob Hagen Memorial Tournament at Gilroy High School.

The Gilroy boys basketball team knew beating No. 9 El Camino would be no easy feat, but it was still hoping for the first round upset.
Poor 3-point shooting and an aggressive El Camino team were a lethal combination for the Mustangs, who ended their season with a 80-52 in the Central Coast Section Division III opening round Tuesday on the road.
The hosts had back-to-back 20-point quarters — the second and third — which Gilroy just couldn’t overcome.
Josiah Wiley led Gilroy with 12 points, followed by Zach Loo with nine and Chris Chang with eight.
The Mustangs finish the season 11-13 overall and 6-6 in league play.
