A 15-year-old Morgan Hill resident will be booked into Juvenile Hall Wednesday afternoon for allegedly making criminal threats.

According to Morgan Hill police Special Operations Sgt. Jerry Neumayer, the teen was a Live Oak High student. On Tuesday, he reportedly threatened one of his teachers during school, saying he was going to come back and shoot the teacher.

He and his mother had a meeting with an assistant principal at the school, and the teenager was suspended, Neumayer said. Morgan Hill police picked him up Wednesday morning, and he will be booked into the youth detention facility.

Juvenile Hall only accepts youths charged with violent crimes, and Neumayer said he called to positively determine that the teen would be accepted by the facility.

The Live Oak student has no history of this kind of behavior, he said.
