The Giants started the game red-hot with their first five batters (Ryan Alba, Nick Cordova, Scott Willard, Nathan Davis and Shawnr Lopez) scoring to start the first inning.

The Yankees were able to rally later in the game, though. Trailing 8-4 in the top of the fifth, the Yankees already had two outs when Daniel Martinez, JJ Jimenez, Tazz Talamante, Patrick Valdez, Anthony Garcia and John Riffle all scored to give the Yankees a 10-8 lead.

Offensively, the Yankees were led by Valdez with four RBI, Jimenez with three RBI, Jesse Muro with two RBI and Kevin Jones and Garcia, who each recorded an RBI. The Giants’ offense was led by Lopez with three RBI, Davis with two RBI and Willard with one RBI.

Jimenez and Talamante both pitched for the Yankees, with Talamante recording four strikeouts. Alba, Willard and Lopez combined for four strikeouts for the Giants.

The Yankee finish the regular season with an 11-3 record. Their next game is Saturday, May 31, at 9:30 a.m.

The Giants will next play Tuesday, May 27, at 5:30 p.m.
