Mustangs await CCS playoff seeding.
Two nights after solidifying a Tri-County Athletic League championship, the Gilroy High girls basketball team finshed out the regular season with a 52-33 victory oveer host Salinas on Thursday night to cap an undefeated run through the TCAL.
The Mustangs (21-1, 12-0 TCAL) manufactured a 28-18 halftime lead, holding the Cowboys to nine points in each of the first two quarters. The advantage remained 10 points entering the fourth where GHS outscored Salinas 14-5 in the final period.
Te Central Coast Section playoff seedings will be decided this weekend. The tournament begins Tuesday with finals secheduled for March 5.
