Hazel Marie Aruda, 93, passed away on October 15, 2011. Beloved wife of the late Joseph Aruda (1993), Hazel is survived by her devoted daughter Loretta Birmingham, her son-in-law Bert Birmingham, grandchildren, Kelly Whalen, Jeff Whalen, Tracey Freitas, Tiffany Scatena, grandson-in-law Ted Sousa, great-grandchildren, Dustin Sousa, Connor Scatena, Drew Scatena.
Hazel is preceded in death by her loving husband Joe Aruda, her daughter Louella Cotta and her sister Helen Terra.
Hazel was born in San Jose, CA and moved to San Martin with her husband Joe and twin daughters, Loretta and Louella in 1952.
Joe and Hazel’s marriage was a loving testimonial to their family. Hazel will be very dearly missed by her family.
Visitation will begin Sunday, October 23, 2011, at 2:00 P.M. with a Vigil at 4:00 P.M. at Habing Family Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will begin on Monday, October 24, 2011, at 9:30 A.M. at the funeral home. Then to St. Mary’s Church, Gilroy for Mass at 10:00 A.M. Entombment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Gilroy.
