A good-egg award goes to First Baptist Church at 8455 Wren Avenue for hosting its 125th American Red Cross blood drive last week.

The Red Cross collected 39 pints of blood Aug. 11 at the drive where Red Cross representatives gave the church a plaque recognizing their dedication to hosting over the years.

The next drive at First Baptist is scheduled for Sept. 8 from 1 p.m. until 6 p.m. To make an appointment, call 1-800-733-2767 or go to redcrossblood.org.
