The San Benito County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a 54-year-old Hollister man who is accused of lewd acts with a child under age 14.
Deputies arrested Thomas Loguidice on Tuesday, after receiving information that he “performed lewd acts” with a girl under age 14, according to a statement from the sheriff’s office.
Loguidice is accused of performing the acts at the girl’s home within the past month, sheriff’s Sgt. Tony Lamonica said. The residence is inside Hollister city limits.
Loguidice is suspected of spending time alone with the victim by earning the trust of the family, according to the release.
Loguidice was booked into San Benito County Jail on $150,000 bail.
Deputies are also looking into the possibility of other incidents in surrounding communities and are alerting residents he has been in this area, according to the release.
“We don’t know of any other victims, but we want to let people know this happened and to see if there are any other victims,” Lamonica said. “A lot of times they have multiple victims.”
The sheriff’s office is currently reaching out to surrounding communities, according to the release.
