The A’s got out of trouble in the first inning after the Mets loaded the bases. A’s first baseman Justin Garza caught a low popup between first and second base and threw to Miguel Arellano on second for a double play.
The A’s followed by scoring five runs in their half of the inning.
In the third inning, the Mets rallied. Stephen Iwanaga had the big hit in the inning to bring in Skylar Shimek. Michael Montez and Herbie LeBlanc followed with RBIs to close within 5–4.
The Mets beat the rain in the fourth inning for the win. Andrew Miner and Cameron Stone knocked in the runs.
The Mets defense was led by outfielders Zack Soled and Kyle Ettema and shortstop Noah Vasquez. Pitcher Tiago Costa struck out six batters.
Boys Minors
Angels 9, Orioles 3
The Angels and Orioles were deadlocked at 3-3 through five innings. But the Angels bats came alive in the sixth, scoring six runs off big hits by Pablo Torres, Hector Perez, Josh Wheat and Tanner Huddleson. The Angels Richie Rios came in to pitch the fifth and sixth innings to earn the victory.

Red Sox 9, A’s 1
Nick Chacon led the Red Sox on the mound with a strong pitching performance. The Red Sox scored nine runs on hits by Travis Sammons, Dominic Arddizzone, Jesse Muro, Trevor Large and Nick Chacon. The highlight to the nightcap was a two-run home run over the center-field fence by Alex Jimenez, his first as a Little Leaguer.
Girls Minors
Bandits 7, Armadillos 6
Samantha DeLaTorre had a two-RBI double for the Bandits. She also had 11 strikeouts on the mound. Relief pitcher Sol Mendez-Alvardo recorded three strikeouts. Brianna Barron had a single for the Bandits.
For the Armadillos, Abby Kienle had an RBI single. Lauren Castro recorded six strikeouts.
Sunbirds 12, Armadillos 8
The Sunbirds were led by Deanna Orosco with two doubles. Cynthia DelReal had a double, Tina Guerrero had a triple, Karli Martinez had a double and a single, Dejah Raoof had two singles, and Star Fries and Davanity Zepeda each added hits. Anna Gamboa and Maria Sandoval combined for eight strikeouts for the Sunbirds. Ashley Irby had five strikeouts for the Armadillos.
Bandits 6, Riptide 1
Samantha DeLaTorre had a double and a single for the Bandits. Brianna Barron and Kaylie Eddy each had a single. DeLaTorre recorded 14 strikeouts.
For the Riptide, Kailee Chang and Adrianna Figone recorded a single each.

The Riptide was led by Marizza Lucio with a pair of RBI singles. Adrianne Mathues had her first RBI. Randi Rogers had an RBI double and a single. Shawnte Garcia had an RBI single and a triple. Casey Lester and Kaylana Mah had a double each, and Gabbie Solorio added a single. Riptide pitcher Megan Lesater had strikeouts.
Aly Olvera had two singles for the Sundbirds. Jenae Estrada and Ariana Vasquez each had singles, and Mariza Rodriguez had a double. Raeanna Covarrubias recorded five strikeouts.
Bandits 5, Heat 4
Celeste Jimenez and Sarina Sandoval had two hits each. Nicole Green had a double, Ashlee Williams hit a triple and Alex Zamaripa recorded a single. Jimenez had seven strikeouts.
For the Heat, Anissa Martinez and Victoria Vasquez each recorded RBI singles. Kaycee Roelling and Angelica Carrillo also had singles. Catcher Adrianna Ortega threw out a Bandit runner trying to steal second base and made a nice play at home.
