Christmas shopping

A holiday boutique will bring some festive cheer to Gilroy from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 8 at Luigi Aprea Elementary School.
At least 30 vendors will be selling jewelry, purses and backpacks, and serving up tamales, coffee, apple cider and tacos as part of the second annual holiday celebration.
At noon, there will be a dance performance by Studio Three. Santa Claus will make a guest appearance from 10:30 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. to take pictures with attendees and there will be a taco truck on hand to sell tasty lunches and snacks.
“We just hope to really make it a fun thing for parents to be able to do some Christmas shopping and for the kids to be able to see Santa” said Melissa Vernon, who has two children at the school. “There’s really something for everyone.”
