The Mustangs swept the Monterey Bay League 2013 baseball honors.
First baseman Ronnie Reed was named the league MVP, while teammate
Justin Hale was named the Pitcher of the Year.
Reed and Hale were also named to the First Team All-League, joining
teammates Brendan Holler, Marcus Medina and Sammy Aptekar.
Bubba Lara, Jalynd Gallardo, Dallas Wilson and Travis Moulden were
named to the Second Team for the Mustangs.
Gilroy’s Celeste Mendoza, Amber Gamboa, Kaylana Mah and Lauren Castro
were named to the First Team All-League in softball, Holly Lam earned
Second Team honors along with Christopher’s Pati Soria.
Christopher was also given the Elgie Bellizio Sportsmanship Award.
Justin Laveroni and Manny Salcedo were named to the Boys Volleyball
First Team All-League for the Cougars, while Christian Carpenter was
named to the Second Team.
Will Cho and Ryan Nguyen were also named to the Second Team for Gilroy.
Christopher’s Marcus Torres and Gilroy’s Edwin Hernandez were named to
the Sportsmanship Team.
