Business Briefs: Pacific Hills Manor wins award

Pacific Hills Manor, owned and operated by Covenant Care, has
won the 2009 Covenant Care Chairman’s Award.
Pacific Hills Manor, owned and operated by Covenant Care, has won the 2009 Covenant Care Chairman’s Award. To qualify for the award, a facility must meet several standards that include exceeding financial expectations, exceeding clinical standards, positive federal and state survey outcomes, low turnover and positive employee relations and must exceed accounts receivable guidelines.

The facility must also demonstrate that they have mentored other facilities, been a “model” Covenant Care facility, be a provider of choice in the community for patients and employees, and be actively involved as a member of the community.

Only one facility is recognized in the Covenant Care Midwest Operational area. Pacific Hills Manor met the criteria and was presented with the Chairman’s Award at an annual banquet.

More than $1,100 raised by Sport Clips

Sport Clips, providers of championship haircuts for men and boys in a sports-themed environment, raised more than $1,100 this past weekend during its two-day Cut-A-Thon fundraiser for high school athletics at its Morgan Hill stores.

More than 140 customers donated at least $5 to Live Oak High School Athletics at each location on May 16 and 17 and received a free “MVP” haircut.

Gang Task Force fundraiser
