GILROY – Don’s Vending Brakettes upended Goldsmith Seeds Riptide 10-3 last week in Gilroy Little League girls youth minor action.

Brakette’s pitcher Maria Sandoval threw a six-inning no-hitter and had 13 strikeouts while also going 3-for-3 at the plate with a triple, double and single to score three times.

In four games, Sandoval and fellow pitcher Anjelica Reyes haven’t allowed a hit, Brakettes coach George Sandoval said. The pair’s offseason work deserves much of the credit, the coach added.
