The South Valley Middle School boys volleyball team made history March 29 when it became the school’s first bump-set-spike squad to play in the Santa Clara County East Side Junior High Coaches Association championship game.
The Tigers knocked off two opponents to reach the finals but fell to Bridges Academy in the title match, ending their successful 2012 campaign.
South Valley dropped just one match in league action all season.
