22nd annual Taste of Morgan Hill
Experience the city this weekend in downtown Morgan Hill from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The festival features 150 arts and crafts booths, local restaurants and wineries, a Kids Zone with petting zoo, two stages featuring all-day entertainment, a Harvest Quilt & Fiber Arts Show and a Custom & Classic Car Show. Harvest Quilt & Fiber Arts Show, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Morgan Hill Community & Cultural Center. Featuring delegates from sister city Mizuho-machi, Tokyo. Custom & Classic Car Show, starting at 10 a.m. on the south end of Monterey Road Saturday and Sunday featuring an array of classic Mustangs Sunday. Harvest Festival
The Gilroy Downtown Farmers’ Market will host its first Harvest Festival from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday at Monterey and Seventh Streets downtown. The Festival is hosted in conjunction with the Gilroy Demonstration Garden, which put on a similar event last year. The extravaganza is coined a “multicultural event” celebrating local/eco-friendly business and old world crafts, with live demonstrations related to solar power, canning, preserving, weaving, natural composting and vermiculture (the process of using various species of earthworms to create compost).Details: gi*************************@***oo.com or .gilroyspiceoflife.com.
‘MOMologues’ comedy at Lizarran
Limelight Actors Theater presents “The MOMologues: The Original Comedy about Motherhood” from at 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays through Oct. 8 at Lizarran Tapas Restaurant, 7400 Monterey Road. There is also a matinee performance at 2 p.m. Sunday. Follow the journey of four mothers and their experiences with the first chapters of motherhood – attempts at conception, pregnancy, labor and delivery and adjusting to life with a newborn. Cost: $18. Renaissance Faire
Enjoy more than 150 craft booths, rides and activities during the Northern California Renaissance Faire from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m Saturdays and Sundays through Oct. 16 at Casa de Fruta just off Highway 152 east of Gilroy. Condor Comeback 2011 at Pinnacles
The public is invited to attend Condor Comeback 2011 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Pinnacles National Monument. The event will be held at the Pinnacles Visitor Center near the campground on the east side of the park, accessed from Highway 25 south of Hollister. No entrance fee will be charged.
