A Celebration of Life Mass will be held on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Catherine’s Church, 17400 Peak Ave., Morgan Hill, CA to be followed by an informal reception at the Parish Hall. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made in his honor to Knights of Columbus of St. Catherine’s Parish, Council 8625.
Since 2000, Bill was a loving husband to Marie (Mancha) Keyes (deceased 2010) and cherished brother-in-law to George and Clara Avilla. Bill’s late in life marriage to Marie created many good memories with Marie’s daughters and extended family.
Bill was born on the east coast and served in every branch of the military before his long term residence in California.
Bill’s participation in the St. Catherine’s Knights of Columbus was a source of pride and joy in his later life.

The family of the woman my father married after my mother passed wrote this. They didn’t bother to mention, because they never cared, that he was married for nearly 50 years to my mother, Muriel Brani Keyes, and that he has two children, William L. (Bill) Keyes and Kathleen Keyes (Kathy) Jaggi.
I won’t even list the health or financial problems his second wife caused for my father, but it was an uphill battle trying to keep him safe. The people who wrote this “obit” didn’t keep him safe, and now they’re erasing the people who loved him and protected him.
The Dispatch should correct this to a proper, accurate obit. These people didn’t even know where he was actually born or which branches of service he served in. They should be ashamed for having submitted this.
