An employee at Gilroy Gardens Family Theme Park was airlifted to a trauma center Tuesday after he tripped and hit his head at the park, according to the Gilroy Fire Department.
The man, who was disoriented and bleeding from a cut on his head, had been discovered by a fellow park employee, GFD Capt. Colin Martin said.
The man was walking on park grounds when he tripped and fell. He was airlifted to Valley Medical Center in San Jose as a precaution, Martin said.
Hoa Minh Le, the park’s assistant general manager and director of marketing, said the man was a security officer in his 50s.
As of 5 p.m. Tuesday, the man’s condition was not known, Le said.
Gilroy Gardens was not open Tuesday. The park is open only on weekends in April.
