Aileen Dolan passed away peacefully at her home in Gilroy on Friday, August 5, 2011, at the age of 86 after a brief illness.
She was born on March 28, 1925, the eighth child of Noel and Cleora Green, in Stigler, OK.
Aileen spent many early years in Gilroy with husband, John Karpinski, on their dairy farm south of Gilroy. She returned to Gilroy in 1992 to enjoy a life filled with prolific quilt-making and many friends.
She was the last survivor of a family of ten children.
She leaves a daughter, Loretta Fatzer, of Danville, CA and a son, Paul Karpinski, of Cottonwood, CA. She also leaves six grandchildren and three great- grandchildren.
A memorial service and a celebration of her life are being held at Hakone Gardens, 21000 Big Basin Way, Saratoga, CA on Saturday, August 20th, 2011, at 11:00 A.M.
