GILROY – Aladdin Bail Bonds-Carreiro’s Plastering secured the final Men’s Winter D league playoff spot Friday with a 23-8 decision over the Rebels at Las Animas Park.

The fourth-seed Bondsmen-Plasterers take on top seed Talk Alota Ship Friday at 6:30 p.m. at Las Animas. Dirty Dozen and Countryside Daycare, both 5-3, meet at 7:40 p.m., with the two winners playing at 8:50 for the post-season title.

Norm MacVicar went 4-for-4 and Don Hufnagel homered as Aladdin-Carreiro’s finished the eight-game season at 4-4. Jose Hernandez hit a double and three singles for the Rebels.

Talk Alota Ship finished at 7-1 with a 12-7 victory over Get Low Players. Raul Monroy and Rich Hattaway hit homers in a five-run Ship fifth frame. Julian Rodriguez went 3-for-4 for the Players.

Dirty Dozen prepped for this week’s playoffs with a 16-7 nod over Countryside Daycare. Jeff Elliot lined a double and two singles for the Dozen. Kris Ferguson and Albert Alosi each went 3-for-4 for the Daycare.

Foothills trimmed Covenant 10-8 Thursday to take the regular-season Co-Rec Winter D League title at Las Animas. Foothills tests South Valley Newspapers Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at Las Animas, while Covenant plays Rush order at 7:40.

John Fullmer and Ryan Brindle each went 3-for-3 to lead 7-1 Foothills. John Day, Rich Adams and Brian Moreno each went 3-for-4 for Covenant.

Danny Pequeno lashed a homer, triple and double as Rush Order (3-5) finished the year with a 21-12 win over South Valley Newspapers. James Mohs went 2-for-3 and scored twice for the Newspapers.

Lopez Vending Machines (6-2) is second in Thursday’s Co-Rec Winter B League playoffs after a 15-0 win over the Sand Pit Thursday at Christmas Hill Park.

Lopez Vending plays Handmade Healthcare (6-2) at 7:40 p.m. at Christmas Hill. Gaeta’s Taqueria brings a 7-1 mark into the 6:30 game against 4-4 Feather Haven Mill.

Barb Lemberger went 5-for-5 and Jeff Lopez Jr. homered in a 4-for-5 night for the Vendors.

Mike Howe and Gil Barry each went 5-for-6 as Handmade outlasted Feather Haven Mill 19-6. Albert Alosi went 3-for-4 for the Mill.

K. C. Adams hit three triples, Bobby Garcia two triples in a 14-9 Krazy Koyote nod over Let’s Do This. Herman Valderama homered, tripled and singled twice for the losers.
