A 12-run fifth propelled the Mustangs to a 14-3 victory over the Trojans in Tri-County Athletic League action in Gilroy.

Gilroy and Palma (10-2-1 TCAL) will resume a March 17 affair that was called due to darkness after 10 innings – tied 1-1 – prior to Friday’s regularly schedule matchup. If all goes right for the Mustangs, its a two-game swing in the standings.
Eric Brolin spelled starting pitcher Sammy Aptekar in the second inning and kept the Trojans at the three runs, allowing just one hit and striking out three.
The Mustangs trailed 3-2 before unleashing the monster fifth frame.
Reed Kienle, Bubu Garcia and Brendon Holler each recorded three-hit afternoons, while Jordan Dexter, and Ryan Alba had a pair of hits.
