Resident of Morgan HillBelle passed away peacefully in her home on March 1, 2017 in Morgan Hill, CA at the age of 110.
She was loved by many and will be greatly missed. Born in Billings, MT, she began teaching at age 19 in a one-room school. The family moved to Morgan Hill in 1951. She retired from teaching in 1973.
Belle is predeceased by her husband William, daughter Mary Ellen Stratton and granddaughter Germain (Geri) Stratton. She is survived by daughters Margaret Escover (Jack) and Annie Saso (Ken). She is Nana to ten grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
A Rosary will be held on Thursday, March 9, 2017 at 7:00 P.M. at Lima-Campagna-Johnson Funeral Home, 17720 Monterey St., Morgan Hill, CA.Funeral Mass will be held Friday, March 10, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Catherine Church, 17400 Peak Ave., Morgan Hill, CA.
Interment will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery.Donations may be made to St. Catherine School, 17500 Peak Ave., or charity of your choice, in Belle’s honor.
